Abstract
Myocardial infarction was produced in open-chest dogs by embolization of the coronary arteries with plastic beads in methyl cellulose. Approx. 3-5 mg./kg. of beads produced widespread sublethal infarction. Evans blue (T-1824) blood volume studies carried out up to 5 hrs. showed a reduction in blood volume of 20% over those of a control group. Keywords
