Abstract
In laboratory tests against Tribolium confusum and Sitophilus oryza adult and immature insects in empty and wheat-filled flasks, addition of SO2 improved the toxicity of the 80-20 mixture. Adult rice weevil in wheat required 1.1 gal. of 80-20 mixture and 0.9 gal. of 78-20-2 mixture/1000 bu. of grain. Immature stages required corresponding dosages of 9.3 and 7.5 gal./1000 bu. The recommended commercial dosage of 80-20 mixture should be increased from 1.5 to 2 gal. per 1000 bu. of grain for better kill of immature stages. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
