A scale for the evaluation of psychogeriatric patients with organic cerebral disease is described, and evidence of reliability and criterion related validity is presented. Factor analysis revealed no evidence of a general factor, but established the existence of four independent group factors. These reflected impairment in the fields of orientation, emotional control, motor ability, and communication, respectively.
