Abstract
A method is described which allows a pseudospecific sensitisation of fixed reythrocytes. If bacterial strains with extracts rich in specific factors and sufficiently poor in common factors have to be selected, it suffices to determine by titration the relative amounts of the different antigenic factors present in the raw extracts. In the passive slide hemagglutination test, the red cells sensitized with 2 tube-MSD (minimal sensitising dose for the tube reaction) of the specific factor do not cross-react any more, provided the sensitizing extract contains at least eight times more of the specific factor than of the common factor. Keywords
