Urolithiasis in Pregnancy

Abstract
A retrospective analysis of pregnancies complicated by urolithiasis in a major referral center for high-risk pregnancies indicated an incidence of 1:2534. The majority of patients were primiparas. The judicious use of hydration, analgesics and antibiotic therapy resulted in a high rate of spontaneous passage of stones initially localized below the renal pelvis and a favorable outcome for all pregnancies.
