Abstract
The perceiving and emitting organs of the sex attractant are briefly described. The copulation act may be divided into basicly three parts viz. male searching for female, copulation and cessation of copulation. The importance of the attractant for initiation of each of these parts was investigated. Studies with dummies of beeswax were also performed, as visual attraction apparently is of importance. Laboratory studies of species specificity and active range of the sex attractant were carried out. Keywords
