The Distribution of Sodium Arsenite and Diluent in the Dust Cloud1

Abstract
Studies were made on the composition of the dust cloud obtained from a number of mixed dusts used for insecticidal purposes. The dusts were composed of ingredients of known particle size and settling curves plotted by sampling the dust cloud throughout a distance of 18 ft. from the point of discharge. It was concluded that no interaction took place between the diluent and the active ingredients used and that the materials used settled out of the dust cloud independently of each other. Their physical properties were apparently the factors which determined the composition of the cloud of dust.
