Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 17-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital because of a possible brain-stem lesion.She was in excellent health until one year earlier, when she slipped and fell on the lower portion of her back while performing on uneven parallel bars. On the next day she began to experience persistent numbness of the entire right leg; the leg felt "cold," and she often could not determine whether her shoe was on or off.
