Abstract
An experimental study of the parameters that determine the performance and stability ranges of a coupled-cavity mode-locked KCl:Tl color-center laser was performed. For a nonlinear cavity that contains an optical fiber, data are presented to show that distinct ranges of intrafiber optical power, or operational windows, can be identified. The dependence of these operational windows on principal system parameters is described, and the role of laser bandwidth control is especially highlighted. Keywords
