Abstract
A new and unique method of proton computed tomography is proposed. Integrated electron-density distributions along a few tens of parallel paths are obtained at once by precisely measuring the energies of incident and outgoing protons. The energy of the outgoing proton is measured by a magnetic spectrometer. With this method, a proton CT with high density resolution, high spatial resolution, and with lower dose can be realized in a short scanning time. Keywords
