An Extreme Example of Buerger's Disease

Abstract
A young man with a spectacular case of Buerger's disease, required bilateral lumbar and dorsal sympathectomies, two bowel resections, and 13 amputations in 15 years. The case lends support to the existence of Buerger's disease as a separate entity, and to its susceptibility to exacerbation by cigarette smoking.
