65—INTERFACIAL VISCOSITIES OF OIL/WATER SYSTEMS CONTAINING WOOL WAX AND ITS CONSTITUENTS

Abstract
When wool wax and its constituents come into contact with aqueous solutions containing soaps or peptides, viscous interfacial layers may be formed. The significance of these films in the scouring of raw wool, and in the subsequent recovery of grease, is discussed.
