Abstract
Initial collection efficiencies of granular beds were determined experimentally in the inertial-impaction-dominated regime using three different particle counters for concentration measurements. The results obtained were compared against one another in order to assess the possible effect of the instrument itself. The experimental results were also compared with available empirical correlations and were used to develop a new correlation. Keywords
