A female infant, born of a mother with leukemia who received 6-mercaptopurine and x-ray therapy early in the pregnancy and Myleran® throughout most of the pregnancy, showed severe stunting of growth, congenital anomalies of the eyes, palate and ovaries, and cytomegaly involving most of the organs and tissues of the body. Evidence is cited to implicate Myleran® as the agent responsible for the defects and cytomegaly.
