Abstract
A case of papaverine-induced elevated liver function tests occurred in a 58-year-old female with peripheral vascular disease after she received papaverine hydrochloride 150 mg bid over a two- to three-week period. The patient presented with abnormal elevations in serum transaminases (SGOT and SGPT) and alkaline phosphatase. The papaverine was discontinued, and the elevated enzymes returned to normal within three weeks. Keywords
