Abstract
The translation product of the gag gene of mammalian type-C RNA viruses is a 65,000-68,000 MW precursor polypeptide (Pr65) whose cleavage leads to the formation of 4 virion proteins, p30, p15, p12 and p10. An immunological approach was used to establish the arrangement of the sequences coding for these proteins within the viral genome as (5'') p15-p12-p30-p10 (3'').Keywords
