Universal ρ Coupling and the Adler-Weisberger Theorem for πρ+ and πA1+ in the Veneziano Model

Abstract
We write minimal Veneziano representations, normalized to the t-channel ρ poles, for the πρ+πρ+ and πA1+πA1+ invariant amplitudes relevant to the Adler-Weisberger theorem. Using these amplitudes and the results of other authors for ππ+ and πK+, we find that the Adler-Weisberger theorem is satisfied for ππ+, πK+, πρ+, and πA1+ elastic scattering if the ρππ, ρKK, ρρρ, and ρAA charge couplings all have the same (universal) value.
