Abstract
The average action/plaquette and the specific heat of SU(3) lattice gauge theory in four dimensions are calculated by Monte-Carlo simulation on lattices of lattice length 4 and 5 by averaging over 400 iterations through the 44 lattice and 200 iterations through the 54 lattice. The calculations show a peak in the specific heat at a value of the inverse temperature beta of 6.31.Keywords
