THE PROBLEM OF SUICIDE ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES*

Abstract
If our classrooms nowadays are populated by hypermodern poets, ultrarevolutionary politicans, heroic philosophers, and experienced lovers, this reflects the influence of a society that today, as in the formative days of Christianity, once again seeks desperately and painfully to renew its whole life, and most especially involves its youth in this monumental struggle (Friedman, 1967, p. 49).
