Abstract
The Knight shifts of the sodium and lithium nuclei in liquid sodium-lithium alloys have been determined as a function of concentration at 400°C. A linear relation between the Knight shifts and the atomic concentration has been found. The conduction-electron contact density changes by 19% for Na and by 35% for Li. Some of the theoretical implications are discussed briefly. Keywords
