Abstract
Diagnostic evaluation of histiocytic malignancies often involves a range of imaging studies to characterize skeletal and extraskeletal sites of involvement. Functional imaging with 18 FDG PET provides a potential method for non-invasively detecting active disease. We report two cases where this modality was positive and facilitated therapeutic monitoring. Keywords
