Abstract
B. fragilis strains (152) were tested by agar dilution technique against 7 antimicrobial agents. Metronidazole at 1 .mu.g/ml and chloramphenicol at 8 .mu.g/ml inhibited all the strains tested. Cefoxitin at 32 .mu.g/ml and carbenicillin at 128 .mu.g/ml were active against nearly all strains. Only 92% of the strains of B. fragilis were inhibited by clindamycin at 4 .mu.g/ml. Erythromycin and tetracycline were less active against B. fragilis. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
