Abstract
3He2+ ions from laser‐irradiated 3He‐filled glass microsphere targets were mass spectroscopically observed only at low velocities consistent with the predictions of hydrodynamic calculations. The null measurements at high velocity indicate that the core gas is largely contained.Keywords
