Abstract
In a study of cases of recent onset of schizophrenia, schizophreniform psychosis and hypomania (DSM-III criteria), threatening life events were significantly related to the onset of schizophreniform psychosis but not schizophrenia. The results also suggest that threatening events may precipitate hypomanic episodes. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
