Adjustment Problems of Korean American Elderly

Abstract
Fifty elderly Korean immigrants were intensively interviewed in an effort to identify typical adjustment problems of this group. Ratings of overall stress and adjustment were made in five areas of functioning: social, cultural, economic, health, and emotional/cognitive. Adjustment was positively related to education, length of residence in the United States, and multigenerational household structure.
