Abstract
Comparisons of the division rate of Oxytricha in 4 and 10 drops of culture medium showed that the average division rate was higher in the smaller amounts. This seems to favor Robertson''s theory of autocatalysis and is against the theory of Woodruff and Greenleaf that excretory products retard division of infusoria more markedly in small quantities of culture medium. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
