Abstract
• Three schizoaffective subtypes—manic, bipolar, and depressive—were compared across multiple baseline (demographic, premorbid, morbid) and long-term outcome dimensions. Though the subtypes were comparable at baseline, the patients with depressive schizoaffective disorder scored consistently better at follow-up, although none of these differences was statistically significant. Results failed to support the validity of such subtyping in schizoaffective disorder, at least in predominantly chronic populations. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
