Abstract
Palynology and climate Pollen analyst identifies in some types of sediments pollen grains and spores which have become fossilized. From the knowledge of the relations between pollen rains and present vegetation, one can deduce the existing relations between pollen contents of these sediments, ancient vegetation and past climate. Some examples, from the last 15 millenaries, allow to show the main trends of climate variation. Minor climatic fluctuations may be seen in some particular cases (evolution of altitudinal limit of forest, of vegetation in so me wet depression) and can be see n in relation with glacial front evolution. Keywords
