Abstract
Summary: An isotope assay method is described for following intracellular digestion (cytopepsis) in macrophages in vitro and in vivo. This procedure, in conjunction with morphologic and cultural methods, has been used to study cytopeptic capacities of macrophages derived from normal and immunized mice. Immunization was shown to induce a degree of auxocytopepsis which was independent of mediation by circulating or added antibody. Keywords
