Abstract
Presents the first observation of pure K hypersatellite lines of copper, nickel and iron obtained under electron bombardment. The absolute energies of these lines are compared with results from various calculations, and the decay scheme of K-2 ionized states is studied in LS coupling and the dipole approximation. In the case of copper both K alpha 2h and K alpha 1h hypersatellites are observed; the relative intensities of these lines, which represent a test of intermediate coupling, are discussed. Keywords
