Abstract
To complete an analysis of the distribution of the principal anthocyanin types in Angio-sperms, an examination has been made of these pigments in young leaves which become green on maturing. Some 200 spp., in 110 genera were tested and cyanidin saccharides found in 93% of the genera. The order of frequency of the various saccharides was: pentose-glycosides (in 50% of the genera), monoglycosides (31%), 3-biosides (30%), 3:5-di-monosides (9%).This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
