Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A 24-year-old woman was admitted to the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary because of discomfort in the throat, hoarseness and nocturnal dyspnea and stridor.Four months previously she began to notice fullness in the throat. Six weeks before admission she became increasingly hoarse, particularly on awakening in the morning, and experienced dyspnea on exertion and difficulty in swallowing. She received tetracycline, without relief. One month before entry numerous cervical lymph nodes became enlarged.
