Abstract
A fourth-order correlation function in the {r} space is developed and applied to double-slit experiments with spontaneous down-conversion light. The predicted coincidence patterns and corresponding degrees of visibility agree with the experimental results. The van Cittert–Zernike theorem is extended to coincidence experiments. © 1996 The American Physical Society. Keywords
