Abstract
The significance of bone lesions in the skull as a possible prognostic factor in patients with histiocytosis X was examined in 64 patients, of whom 29 had such lesions. Lesions localized to the skull cap or facial bones were associated with a good prognosis whereas those in the base of the skull had a prolonged course or even a fatal outcome. Keywords
