Abstract
The Infracambrian tillite in the Brioverian of the Armorican massif of Normandy, France, is part of a complex extending from Granville to Caen. The Maine conglomerates are the result of reworking of this tillite, and the Gourin conglomerate is derived from it indirectly. The relative ages of these and other conglomerates of the region are tentatively worked out. Four divisions are distinguished in the Brioverian of Normandy; the upper member is the tillite complex with its associated postglacial deposits (Laize stage).
