Abstract
Two new xanthone glycosides, patuloside A (3-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy-1,5,6-trihydroxy-9H-xanthene-9-one, 1) and patuloside B [3-(2-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)oxy-1,5, 6-trihydroxy-9H-xanthene-9-one, 2], have been isolated from cell suspension cultures of Hypericum patulum. Their structures were elucidated by spectral techniques. Keywords
