Abstract
Available research, although quite limited, suggests that American Negro males are almost universally drinkers, frequently heavy drinkers, and have a high incidence of trouble due to drinking. Among middle-status Negroes, self-derogation is said to be a concomitant of drinking. In a sample of Negro male collegians these generalizations were found to be applicable. Inferentially, the drinking behavior of these older youth provided evidence about the probable behavior of Negro male adults. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
