A millimetre/submillimetre common user photometer for the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope

Abstract
We describe a multi-wavelength common user millimetre/submillimetre receiver which is now in operation on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT)⋆ on Mauna Kea, Hawaii. It is a single channel photometer employing a composite germanium bolometric detector cooled by helium-3 to 0.35 K. The receiver has a set of bandpass filters allowing observations to be made in all of the atmospheric transmission windows between 350 µm and 2 mm.
