Abstract
The digital array radar (DAR) design has taken into account all commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) component technologies: (1) the inexpensive and reliable digital electronics transceiver technology developed for wireless digital telephony using the GaAs microchip; and (2) the backplane communication technology using matured fiber optics wires with precision laser clock; as well as (3) arbitrary waveform synthesizer in terms of binary bits or direct digital synthesizers (DDS) for a simple CW and linear chirp. Keywords
