Abstract
Twenty-two lymphoid cell lines with capacity for long term proliferation in tissue culture were derived from patients with hypogammaglobulinemia, myeloma and Waldenström's macroglobulinemia. Immunoglobulin biosynthesis was demonstrated by radioimmunoelectrophoresis and direct immunofluorescence in each of 22 lines examined. On the basis of qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis of the immunoglobulins produced it cannot be concluded that the cells in culture retain the biochemical abnormalities of the particular disease state of the cell donor. Keywords
