Abstract
High-resolution neutron diffraction studies have been carried out on KH2PO4 at 1K, 10K and 20K below Tc (123K), and on 95% deuterated K(DxH1-x)2PO4 at 2K, 6K and 10K below Tc (224K). The results show that in both cases the structural ordering is homogeneous: the temperature dependence of the proton (deuteron) ordering is the same, within error, as that of the heavy-atom displacements. And the temperature dependence of this structural ordering is the same as that of the spontaneous polarisation. Keywords
