Abstract
Pneumoperitoneum caused by percutaneous gastrostomy usually follows a benign clinical course, but led to progressive volvulus of the ileocolic segment in the patient described here. This article explains relationships between pneumoperitoneum after surgical or endoscopic procedures and volvulus involving the intraperitoneally mobile intestinal loops. This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
