Abstract
The Indo‐pacific sea cucumber Thelonota ananas contains two new triterpene saponins, thelothurins A and B. Both have the same glycosidic chain shown to be 3‐0‐methyl‐β‐D‐glucosyl‐(1→4)‐β‐D‐xylosyl‐(1→4)‐β‐D‐glucosyl‐(1→4)‐2‐0‐X‐3‐0‐methyl‐β‐D‐glucosyl‐(1→3'β‐aglycone A or B) (IA/B), where X is an hitherto unidentified substituent. Keywords
