Abstract
In DBA mice thyroidectomized with I131, a joint disease was observed which differs from osteoarthritic changes occurring spontaneously in old mice. Males were more susceptible than females. In males there was a strong positive correlation between the incidence of hypophyseal tumors induced by the isotope and the incidence of articular lesions, while in females this correlation was lacking. Keywords
