Abstract
A variety of catalyst systems based on 3d transition metals, i.e., V(III), Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and various stabilizing ligands, i.e., propadiene, methylacetylene, phenylacetylene, and 1,4‐butadiene, were prepared. The activity of these catalytic systems towards the polymerization of a series of monomers (propadiene, methylacetylene, phenylacetylene, 1,4‐butadiene, ethene, and propene) is investigated. Optimum conditions for the preparation of 1,2‐polyallene, polymethylacetylene and polyphenylacetylene are given. Keywords
