Abstract
A study on the RF plasma-CVD of an organic photoconductor, polyvinyl carbazole (P-PVK), was carried out. The chemical structure of P-PVK was shown to be similar to that of the conventional PVK from IR and UV spectroscopic studies. The voltage dependence of the photocurrent was explained from the Onsager theory. The photovoltaic effect was observed when Al was used as an electrode. The power-conversion efficiency was estimated to be 3×10-3% for extremely thin P-PVK film (∼80 nm). Keywords
