Abstract
Protection of hands of personnel engaged in the clinical admn. of alpha- and beta-ray emitters is accomplished by placing a syringe containing the radioactive soln. in a 2-piece lucite casing with threaded top. The thickness of the casing increases with the volume of syringe. For gamma-ray emitters a similar casing is prepared from lead alloy (82 Pb, 12 Sb, 4 Sn). Size specifications are given for casings for syringes ranging from 0.25-30 cc.Keywords
