Abstract
In a chart review at a hospital's infectious disease AIDS clinic, manic syndromes affected 8% of patients who had AIDS. Of the 14 patients with manic episodes, those without a family or personal history of mood disorder presented later in the course of HIV infection and had a higher prevalence of comorbid dementia. Keywords
