Abstract
In 220 patients with uveitis studied at the Institute of Ophthalmology in London, 64% were found to have chronic prostatitis, 25% Reiter''s disease, 13% ankylosing spondylitis, 6% atypical sacroilitis and 3% plantar faciitis. Bacteriological and serological investigations failed to reveal a causative organism. The authors feel that chronic prostato-vesiculitis is a common factor in the syndrome which includes all of the above entities. Keywords
