Abstract
Summary The distribution and behavior of Ascaris within the gastrointestinal tract has been observed by fluoroscopic methods. The jejunum is by far the favored habitat of Ascaris. A slight preference for the middle third over the anterior and posterior thirds is evidenced by the worms. Resting positions and locomotion within the bowel are described. A characteristic position is assumed following administration of anthelmintics.
